The Chairman – elect, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile, has assured residents of his council that his administration when fully inaugurated in a few days’ time will be committed to delivering on his manifestoes and responsibilities that would be entrusted on him.
Apanisile, who won the LG elections on Saturday and was declared winner by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), gave the assurance in a statement after his election.

The APC candidate polled 13, 844 votes to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) candidates in distant second and third positions.
“As I stand alongside my brother and partner, Hon.Matthew Aliu Adesanya, I remain irrevocably committed to delivering on the responsibilities entrusted to us. We will continue to work tirelessly toward the positive transformation of Ikorodu North LCDA.
“We shall uphold the values of our party and serve the people with honour, diligence, transparency, progressive spirit and inclusive governance.

“We are fully aware of the responsibilities that lie ahead and we are determined to meet and exceed your expectations.
“Thank you once again for this great privilege. We count on your continued support as we open a new chapter of impactful development,” Apanisile said.
The Chairman – elect expressed his profound appreciation to the people of Ikorodu North LCDA, its political leaders and Divisional leaders of the APC for their trust and support.

“Dear residents of Ikorodu North LCDA, I stand before you today with a heart full of gratitude and humility, giving all glory to the Almighty God. It is by His grace that we have come this far and I remain ever thankful.
“I am profoundly grateful to the esteemed leadership of our great party in Ikorodu North LCDA for the trust and confidence reposed in me and my running mate, Hon.Matthew Aliu Adesanya. Your belief in our capacity to lead is both humbling and deeply inspiring.

“My heartfelt appreciation goes to our highly revered leaders and former Deputy Governor, Hon.Abiodun Ogunleye, Asiwaju Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya and most especially my leader and mentor, Hon.Babajimi Adegoke Benson for your unwavering support, steadfast commitment and invaluable guidance. Your encouragement has been a pillar of strength throughout this journey,” he said.
He also thanked other stakeholders and LASIEC:
“I equally extend my deep appreciation to all other apex leaders in Ikorodu North LCDA, our respected traditional rulers, religious leaders, market men and women, CDC, artisans, youth groups, the National Association of Persons With Physical Disabilities (NAPWPD), and the entire party faithful.

“Your endorsement, warm acceptance of our party decision and resolute commitment to the progress of our LCDA contributed immensely to the outcome of this local government election. I do not take this honour for granted.
“Special appreciation also goes to the electoral umpire for its professionalism, fairness and effective coordination of the election process. I commend the security agencies for their vigilance, dedication and proactive efforts in ensuring a peaceful and seamless electoral exercise.
“Your collective efforts created an environment where the will of the people could be freely and safely expressed.”
